Suffolk Farm Fencing stocks a range of 5 Bar Gate hinges and catches

Five bar gates are normally hinged on an adjustable hinge set. These comprise of a fixed top band and the adjustment is by means of a threaded bar on the bottom band. Depending on your preference you can bolt the hinges onto the face of the gate post or you can bolt through a hole bored in the post.

In addition to hinges our products include various catches and stays for holding back gates. The type of catch you use will depend on the use the gate is being put too. For example if you will be riding up to the gate there are long lever catches that may be reached whilst still remaining on the horse.

You can fit 5 bar gates either singularly or in pairs. When installing pairs, odd sizes can be used to allow a smaller pedestrian gate and a larger one for vehicles. A drop over can be fitted to fix the gates together with a pin fixing one to the ground.
