Feather edge boards

Description

Feather Edge Boards for close boarded fencing.

The pressure treating that the boards have had which will result in a longer life. They are 12mm x 125mm.

Our Feather Edge Boards are available in 0.9m, 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.65m & 1.8m heights. 125mm wide Coverage 10 per metre.

Usually erected on cant rails attached to square or rectangular section posts, available here. with a gravel board at the base as a protective barrier between the ground and your boarded fence.

Additionally a gravel board also allows you to increase the height of your fence. They also provide a degree of protection against damage from strimmers, lawn-mowers etc,

Our Gravel boards can be found here and cant rails here. Runs of fence capping can be fitted to finish off the top neatly and will help in preventing water seeping into the top sawn edges.?_

Close board fencing is very popular for garden use, it is firstly straight forward to put up and it produces a barrier that is not only attractive but aids security. You should consult local planning rules and property covenants before installing a new fence.

These Feather Edge Boards can also be used for cladding small buildings and other structures for instance garden sheds, Rabbit and Guinea pig hutches, log and dustbin stores.

Constructing Feather-edge fencing with a single run of boards on one side is the usual method. However, to provide additional strength and achieve the same view of the fence from both sides, it is possible to fit the boards to each side of the fence, a so-called “double-run”.
